FAQ

How effective is the insulation for very cold winter conditions?

The jacket features Thermarator™ insulation combined with Omni-Heat™ thermal reflective technology, providing excellent warmth retention suitable for cold winters and snow sports.

Can the jacket be used separately or only together?

The 3-in-1 design allows you to wear the waterproof shell and insulated liner separately or zipped together for maximum versatility depending on weather conditions.

How does the jacket manage moisture and breathability during intense activity?

Omni-Tech™ waterproof breathable fabric with critically sealed seams prevents water entry but allows moisture vapor to escape. Underarm vents further enhance ventilation during high exertion.

What storage options are available for skiing essentials?

The jacket is outfitted with a zippered ski pass pocket, goggle pocket, chest pockets, hand pockets, and an interior security pocket, keeping your gear safe and accessible on the slopes.

What overall experience can I expect wearing this jacket outdoors?

Designed specifically for snow sports, the jacket balances warmth, waterproof protection, breathability, and practical features to provide a comfortable and functional winter outdoor experience.

Is a super coat and great buy. Except it has a complete piece of crap for a zipper. The zipper is now plastic with way smaller teeth and sometimes is very hard to start. I dont expect the zipper to last more then a few years. Wish i would have know this when i boughts it.

It seems to be a great jacket but runs large. I usually wear a XL but this is too big. I am going to try a large.

I don't know what's going on with Columbia mens jackets in general but this is the third style I've ordered and returned because it's about a full size too large. If a small is going to fit like a medium, Columbia needs to offer an XS size for men. There are slim men out there who don't want to look like they're wearing someone else's jacket. I've addressed this with employees at the store and they've acknowledged that the sizing is an issue that has been mentioned by other customers.

I love the color and I've been a fan of the Interchange concept for many years. My old jacket (also Columbia Interchange; basically the same as this) was starting to show signs of wear after 10 years (very respectable). It was size M and fit perfectly. So that's what I bought again. To be sure, I did check the size guide but that was inconclusive. I have a 39.5"cm neck and a 105cm chest. And I'm slim, so I look like the guy in the size guide. The charts suggested S due to the neck and somewhere between M and L due to the chest. When I received the jacket it looked a bit bulkier than the old, but I didn't think too much of it. Different colors and different fabrics can look quite diffrent. After being cold outside a few times now I went back to check the size again. The "M" that I got is not M. Not even close. This is way larger, which is likely why I'm cold with it. Comparing the old and the new inner jacket, the new is around 2" (5cm) larger around the waist. How does that make sense? Who is this sized for? Not the guy in the size guide, as he would have the same problem. Should I have gotten S instead? But then the sleeves would likely have been too short. Currently I am wearing the old inner jacket with the new outer shell, as otherwise I'm cold with this new jacket. Very disappointing. Of course I have been wearing it, so I can't send it back. I would otherwise.
